Vampire Myths and Realities
The articles in this section represent my own researches, experiences and views to date. I'm the first to admit that my perspective comes from my own biases, background, and history. I'm not making any deferential disclaimers about "everyone's ideas being valid" and this is only my way of looking at the topic of vampirism--because that would be disingenuous and hypocritical of me. Of course I think that I'm correct and contradictory viewpoints are wrong--and anybody who claims that they don't think the same way is fibbing (or more kindly, being more diplomatic than I am).
But in the interests of free speech and free thought, I'm encouraging every reader of this website to also read every other perspective on real vampirism that's out there. That's why I link and reference all of it. Regardless of whether I agree with another website or individual, or whether they agree with me, or whether they say mean and nasty things about me (or to me), if they have a sincere point to make about vampirism, I want my readers to check it out. To be absolutely honest: I don't want anyone to agree with me unless they've made an informed, free decision to do so. Once you've reviewed all the different points of view and all the different perspectives that are current, if you still favor my ideas, then I'll be satisfied that you've made an uncoerced intellectual choice. That's getting to be a rare privilege in the United States these days. There are plenty of people telling you what to think. I'm just going to tell you what -I- think.
